Jim Darling Lifetime Achievement Award

Please join us to celebrate Larry Withall’s lifetime achievement award. Starting as an auto mechanic, he made a career change in 1978 as a partner in CSI. In 1995 Larry started his current company Cleansales Inc. The CFCRA presents this award as a lifetime achievement award to those who have made a difference in the carpet industry.

WHMIS 2015

October 3, 2018 – 9 AM to 4 PM

 

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) has aligned with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). GHS is a worldwide system. Its goal is to have a common set of rules for classifying hazardous products, common rules for labels, and a standard format for safety data sheets (SDSs).

This course familiarizes you with the “WHMIS 2015” system and how it is used in workplaces. Learning about WHMIS 2015 is part of the knowledge that you need to protect yourself and your co-workers from hazardous products.

 

IICRC Upholstery & Fabric Cleaning Technician (UFT)

October 11 & 12, 2018 8AM – 5PM (both days)

 

 

 

The Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician course covers upholstery fiber categories, fiber identification and testing, manufacturing of the fiber and fabric, chemistry of cleaning, upholstery cleaning methods, protections, spotting and potential problems. A student will have a specific knowledge about fabric and fiber content, as well as furniture construction. This enables students to identify limitations and potential cleaning related problems, on a given piece of upholstery. (2 day course; 14 hours, not including exam time, lunch and breaks.)
